How to Send an Emergency Broadcast (SMS Message)

  1. Go to the Communicate Tab, then select Emergency Broadcast.
  2. Click the green Send a New Broadcast button.
  3. Click Continue after reading the steps that will be required of you to send the broadcast.
  4. Enter a name for your broadcast - this isn't shown to the recipients, it is just for your reference so you can select it out of previously sent list if you choose to re-send later. Click Continue.
  5. Place a check in the box next to I want to send SMS Message to Residents.
  6. Select Yes to confirm that you do want to send an SMS message.
  7. Type your text, noting the characters remaining. Please also limit your characters to alpha-numeric digits wherever possible.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Select who you want to send your message to.
    Resident Owners are residents with Owner user types;
    Subtenants are tenants;
    Non-resident owners are offsite owners;
    All is everyone in your residential database.
  10. If you want to filter your message so that you are only sending to people in specific floors or locations, apply the appropriate filter criteria.
  11. If you want to send to any additional numbers, enter them in the space provided.
  12. Click Continue.
  13. Confirm the details of your text message, then click Send this Broadcast Now! button.
  14. After you have received the Broadcast Complete message, click the View Broadcasts tab to be able to see the specifics of your message. This shows you in depth details about your message, clicking on SMS text shows your text, View Broadcast Results shows you who you sent the message to.
